Disability Travel Card™ Program
The Disability Travel Card™ Program provides an identification card to a person with a permanent disability, allowing one adult attendant to travel with them at no cost. Travel is within Canada only, with any motor coach participating in the reduced fare program, and VIA Rail.
Criteria
- The person with the permanent disability (regardless of age) must be unable to travel alone.
- The adult attendant must be capable of assisting with personal needs that are not normally provided by a vehicle operator (assists person with eating, communication, administering medication, using the facilities in an on-board washroom or a washroom at a stop).
- Both the attendant and person with the disability must travel together for the entire trip.

You may contact any branch of the Saskatchewan Abilities Council for an application form or download the pdf file here. The form is to be completed by a physician or another healthcare professional.

Baggage
Collapsible non-motorized wheelchairs and other aids will be accepted as baggage.
Restrictions
The reduced party fare will be based on regular fares and is not applicable to any excursion fares, unlimited travel tickets, clergy, Blind and Escort or other reduced fares.
