- using other devices like the television?
Technology may exist which can help with everyday
tasks. Our Adaptive Technology department is dedicated to applying
electronics and computers to open the door to educational, employment
and social opportunities for people with disabilities. We provide
assessment, consultation, installation, training and repair services
for communication and environmental equipment.
Any Saskatchewan resident can access Adaptive Technology
Services on a fee-for-service basis. We work with clients of all
ages and can offer mobile services throughout the province. Our
process, from assessment or consultation to education and training,
is designed to determine the most appropriate equipment for each
individual and to provide assistance so every person can optimize
their abilities.
Technical aids can assist people with disabilities
to control their environment, to access a computer or to communicate
with other if they are unable to speak. We specialize in environmental
controls, communication devices, software and other equipment such
as hands-free phones and stove guards.
