Preparing for Employment

 Our vocational services prepare individuals with disabilities for employment.

Employment preparation is essential to achieving long-term success. Our comprehensive range of vocational services is designed to evaluate skill sets and interests, provide training, and identify employment opportunities.

We work with individuals who have disabilities that vary in kind and degree, therefore vocational services are adapted to meet individualized needs and employment goals.

Key services include:

Employment Preparation

Partners in Employment provides assistance in determining a successful employment path, along with developing tools and strategies for finding and maintaining employment. We assist individuals with:

  • Identifying jobs that utilize your skills and abilities
  • Developing resumes that effectively communicate your skills and abilities to employers
  • Preparing for job interviews
  • Finding a job that works for you

Our pre-employment classes are offered in a group setting or one on one and cover topics such as: resume and cover letter writing, interview skills, job focus and search, and computer skills.

Goal Setting

Every person has individualized goals when it comes to finding employment. We provide supports tailored to meet your goals. You will also have access to supports individuals who will assist you to explore your interests and identify needs.

Job Maintenance

We provide on-going support to help job seekers build skills, learn the job/position and retain it. Our on the job coaches are available to work right along with you to assist with work training and navigate any obstacles that may arise.

Training Centre

Our training centre provides short or long term supportive work environments for people to build skills. Each of the work environments is a competitive business that produce goods and services according to market standards of speed, quality, and accuracy. The goal is to build solid work and social skills that are transferable to a business environment.

Vocational Evaluation

Vocational evaluation provides individualized assessments of abilities, skills, and interests for indivuals requiring assistance with job placement, career counselling, education, and work training. At the conclusion of the assessment, you will be presented with a comprehensive report that outlines recommendations for moving forward.
