Saskatoon, SK – The Ukrainian Canadian Professional & Business Association of Saskatoon (UCPBA) has donated $7,200 to the Saskatchewan Abilities Council. Proceeds were raised from the King of the Kovbasa event held on February 11, 2010. Don Hrytzak, Committee Chair, presented the cheque to Ian Wilkinson, Executive Director Saskatchewan Abilities Council.
The Council has received a total of $13,000 over the past two years from the annual King of the Kovbasa event. Ian Wilkinson extends a heartfelt thank you to the UCPBA. “We are honoured to have this kind of community support for the Council. The funds donated today will help further our goals to meet the needs of children and adults with disabilities in Saskatchewan.”
Don Hrytzak, says, “The Council is the big winner. Our association is proud to have partnered with the Council over the past two years for this event.”
The Saskatchewan Abilities Council works with people of varying abilities to enhance their independence and participation through vocational, rehabilitation and recreational services.
