Activity Centres: Yorkton & Swift Current

The Activity Centres offer a day program for adults with disabilities that provide opportunities for community connection, personal development, and recreational activities.

Activity Centres operate at the Yorkton and Swift Current branches. The program curriculum is created to offer meaningful opportunities within the community and to develop skills that enhance the quality of life for each client.

Community Connection:

  • Attend community events
  • Provide volunteer services to the community

Personal Development:

  • Life skills are enhanced through activities such as: baking/cooking, crafts, memory games, gardening/yard work
  • Communication skills through peer interaction

Recreational Activities:

  • Bowling
  • Picnics in the park

Specialty Programs (Swift Current Activity Centre):

  • Yoga Therapy 
  • Music and Drama Therapy
