Easter Seals Snowarama

IMPORTANT UPDATE:  Due to lack of snow and safety concerns for the 2012 Easter Seals™ Snowarama, the formal snowmobile ride portion of the event has been cancelled.

The following components of the February 10 and 11, 2012 plans are still in place and we encourage participants to attend:

• Pre-Registration Wing Night:  Friday, February 10 from 7 to 10 pm
• Registration and complimentary breakfast - February 11 - 8 am to 10 am
• Awards banquet with program, prizes, auction and raffle - Saturday, February 11.  Cocktails at 5 pm, Supper at 6:30 pm with program and auction to follow.

As a participant in the 2012 Snowarama, your Ski Tag will  entitle you to many benefits that are planned throughout the day for participants and their families.  A list will be made available to you at pre-registration and registration.

Please remember to continue raising pledges and funds for this long-running successful fund raising event for children with disabilities in Saskatchewan.  We still need your support!

Banquet tickets are available for purchase at the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, 162 Ball Road or at Schrader's Honda Yamaha Suzuki.  Come out and support a worthy cause and enjoy an entertaining evening!

The 2012 Easter Seals™ Snowarama will be held on February 11, 2012 at the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton, SK.

The Easter Seals™ Snowarama is a fundraising event held in Yorkton that combines winter fun and community spirit in support of Easter Seals Saskatchewan.

With a $150 pledge donation riders receive the choice to ride one of two beautifully groomed trails (90 or 160 km), free breakfast and lunch, free fuel at the midway point, and a complimentary invitation to the evening Awards Banquet.

“Strong support from our riders, volunteers, sponsors, the community, the Snowmobile Association, and local media helps make this event a huge success year after year,” says John Denysek, Regional Director, Yorkton Branch.

Funds raised from the Easters Seals™ Snowarama support programs that are offered and operated by the Saskatchewan Abilities Council such as Camp Easter Seal, Summer Fun, and Adaptive Technology Services. These programs provide recreational opportunities for children with disabilities in Saskatchewan and aim to enhance their self-confidence and independence.
